2 more new vehicles arrive...

13 July 2009

We at David Watson Transport are always striving to have the very best vehicles on our fleet ensuring your goods are delivered in style and your company represented in the very best possible way. We have our own maintenance department making sure all vehicles are kept in tip top condition. In addition to the current high spec fleet, we have had 2 more new vehicles delivered.

The big one - another 65tm 8 Wheeler...

V029 (a re-used fleet number) is a Volvo FM400 8x4 rigid. The vehicle is equipped with a PM 65026, which is a 65 tonne metre, capable of lifting 10 tonne, mounted behind the cab. We named this new arrival `Zephyrus` who was the Greek God of the West Wind. This vehicle will be given to our driver Marcus Horwood at Northampton.

The agile one - a 42tm rear steering 6 wheeler...

24th June saw the delivery of the new V020 which went on the road the 1st July.

V020 (another re-used fleet number) is a Volvo FM380 6x2 rear steering rigid with drawbar trailer capabilities much like the last new vehicle V031. The vehicle is equipped with a Palfinger PK42502D, which means a 42 tonne metre, mounted behind the cab. We named this new arrival `Fulgora`. In Roman mythology, Fulgora was the female personification of lightning. This vehicle will be based at our Earls Colne in Essex depot and will be driven by Mark Paulyn.
