Every sculpture is unique in type, weight, size and shape, which means no two jobs are even remotely the same. Transporting sculptures is tricky and complex, but it’s operations like this where we excel. We are experienced in handling all sorts of materials including stone, glass, timber, lead, bronze and steel and our vehicles carry a vast array of lifting equipment to cover every eventuality.
CAREFUL PLANNING & CONSTANT CONTACT
From place of origin to final destination, we will plan your sculpture’s journey to the nth degree. We have experienced, qualified Appointed Persons who can conduct site surveys and complete site-specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments. An experienced traffic planner will assign the most appropriate vehicle and driver/operator to the task at hand. The skilled driver/operator will then carry out the lift and transport operation with care and precision. Finally, a dedicated Key Account Manager will oversee the entire project, keeping you informed at every stage of the process.
EQUIPMENT TO SERVICE YOUR REQUIREMENTS
The equipment we use is modern and well maintained, and our extensive vehicle/trailer combinations are capable of virtually any lifting task. We have specialised trucks with up to 100-tonne metre remote control cranes and can be provided with spreader beams, jacks, skates and an array of lifting gear. We have forklift trucks and vehicles fitted with sliding tilts to move more fragile items. Our fleet is one of the largest specialist fleets in the country so you can have confidence that you will be assigned equipment that perfectly suits your needs. You can rest assured, your sculpture will be in safe hands! As a valuable and treasured item, we can also arrange additional insurances that provide cover for every stage of the delivery process and for each operation.
